The best of his recordings to date! Gautier Capuçon was born in Chambéry, France in 1981 and started playing the cello at the age of five. He studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris with Philippe Muller and Annie Cochet-Zachine. She then studied with Heinrich Schiff in Vienna. She has won numerous prestigious competitions, including the André Navarre International Cello Competition, and in 2001 was awarded the Victoires de la Musique New Talent of the Year Award. In 2001, she received the New Talent of the Year Award from the Victoires de la Musique. She is active not only as a soloist but also in recitals and chamber music, performing with her brother Renaud Capuçon, Franck Braley, Gérard Cosset, Nicolas Angelisch, Michel Dalbert, Yuja Wang, and many others, all of whom have produced masterful performances with a new sensibility. All of them have produced new and masterful performances.In celebration of Gautier Capuçon's 40th birthday, CD1 features unaccompanied works newly recorded for this best-of album, while CD2-3 are self-selected performances from his many recordings to date.
