Conductor John Wilson has built an even more overwhelming reputation by winning the Record Academy Award for Best Orchestral Work and the Gramophone Award for Best Spatial Audio. This is the first new release in three years to join the highly acclaimed Eric Coates series, which was released with the BBC Philharmonic in 2019 (CHAN20036) and 2020 (CHAN20148). John Wilson has been a specialist in the field of light music. Influenced by Arthur Sullivan and Edward Jarman in his early years, and then evolving into his own unique style with elements of jazz and dance bands, the music of Eric Coates, one of the leading composers and conductors of British light music in its heyday, is right in his wheelhouse. Eric Coates is a composer and conductor who is a master of the music of Eric Coates.This third volume includes the suite "Three Men," in which each movement represents an English man in the country, in the city, and at sea; the fantasy "Cinderella," which was written with the concept of "dedicating to the 'Cinderella' in our imagination; and the suite "Three Elizabeths," dedicated to Her Majesty the Queen, which depicts three Elizabeths in the history of England.
