OHIO PLAYERS" is the first new studio album in almost two years since their last release "DROPOUT BOOGIE" and features collaborations with many friends. Featuring longtime collaborator Dan "The Automator" Nakamura, Beck, Noel Gallagher, Greg Kurstin, and cult legends of the Memphis rap scene Juicy J and Lil' Noid, among others, OHIO PLAYERS is a collection of collaborations with a number of friends. Commenting on the collaboration, Patrick Carney said "We have this kind of enlightenment." We have this realization that we can ask our friends to help us make music.Interestingly, we both write songs with other people--Dan does it a lot (both as a solo artist and as a producer) and I do it when I'm producing.
