The second volume of Eric Chisam (1904-1965), the undiscovered 20th century Scottish composer! Following the "Piano Concerto (CDA 67880)" played by Danny Driver, the album includes the "Violin Concerto" and the "Dance Suite for Orchestra and Piano"! Eric Chisam, a native of Glasgow, studied composition with Donald Francis Tovey at the University of Edinburgh. He left his name in history as an educator who went to South Africa to help develop music there, as well as the Scottish premiere of Rachmaninoff's "Piano Concerto No. 3" and Bartok's "Piano Concerto No. 1," and the British premiere of Bartok's "Bluebeard's Castle. Matthew Trussler is an English violinist who specializes in modern and contemporary violin works by Walton, Berg, Britten, and others. He is also known for his diverse activities, including the Orchid Classics record label and the Lenny Trusler Children's Foundation, a foundation for sick babies.In the "Butoh Suite," Danny Driver, a specialist in unknown works such as York Bowen, continues to play solo piano as in the "Piano Concerto."
