Eloquent and Lyrical Performance by Karoline WittmannMunich-born female violinist Karoline Wittmann is a well-known composer and clarinetist. Her brother is composer and clarinetist Jörg Wittmann, who visited Japan in July 2016 to conduct the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa, and she herself is already well known in Japan, having visited the country herself. Wittmann is already well known in Japan, as she herself has visited Japan. At the time of her debut, she was a specialist in contemporary music, but since she began recording for ECM, she has been giving eloquent and lyrical performances with her unique interpretation of romantic works by Schubert, Schumann, and other composers. In this new recording, Wittmann performs two concertos by Mendelssohn and Schumann. She vividly depicts Mendelssohn's over-famous "E minor" and Schumann's "unplayable" works, with exquisite control of the orchestra. Universal Music/IMS
