American-born, Paris-based harpsichordist and pianist Orhan Memed's independent label presents his debut disc of the Goltberg Variations. After studying piano and violin at Southern California University and completing a doctorate in musicology at Oxford University, he moved to Paris to study with Huguette Dreyfus (1928-2016). Since then, he has earned Dreyfus's immense trust and has become Dreyfus's prized pupil. The Golteberg Variations are his strongest point in his repertoire. The performance is a refined performance in which each note is carefully spun out.
