Machinedrum, one of the brightest stars of electronic music, releases its latest album in 2024! Machinedrum is the solo project of North Carolina-born electronic musician Travis Stewart. Travis is a master of tempo and style, switching beats between drum and bass, hip-hop, jazz, and R&B on 12 innovative tracks. In addition, the group has a stellar roster of collaborators including Tinashe, Mick Jenkins, Duckwrth, KUCKA, Jesse Boykins III, Tanerelle, AKTHESAVIOR, deem spencer, aja monet, Deniro Farrar, Topaz, Jones, Ezri, and ROZET, and other splendid collaborators to create a genre-less work with a focus on vocals.Production of "3FOR82" began last year on his 41st birthday, but the basis for the work was a number of sound sources he created in the late 90s using free software called Impulse Tracker, which had remained untouched for 25 years. By restoring this data and building his own soundbank, 3FOR82 is given a distinctly '90s, rough-edged tone: a collection of high-octane, contemplative club bangers that effortlessly weaves between Travis's past, present, and future!
