To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of Oasis' "The Masterplan", a 2LP and CD release featuring remastered recordings of Oasis' album, "The Masterplan" is a collection of single B-sides (couplings) from Oasis' first three albums, "Definitely Maybe" (1994), "(What' s The Story) Morning Glory? The Masterplan" is a behind-the-scenes best-of album that collects only the B-sides (coupling songs) from the three defining albums of the era, "Definitely Maybe" (1994), "(What's The Story) Morning Glory? Many of the 14 songs on "The Masterplan" are as popular as Oasis' biggest hits of the era, and continue to be loved. In the tradition of Noel's influences, The Jam and The Smiths, Oasis paid close attention to B-side songs. In today's streaming-dominated music landscape, where the traditional single form no longer exists, Oasis is the last truly great singles band, and The Master Plan is nothing short of proof. Every song on the album is an essential part of the Oasis story.The album includes "Acquiesce," originally a coupling to the "Some Might Say" single, on which the Gallagher brothers both sing lead vocals; "Half The World Away," the B-side to the "Whatever" CD single, later made famous as the theme song for the popular sitcom "The Royle Family"; and "The Masterplan," one of four bonus tracks on the "Wonderwall" CD single. The Masterplan" was released in the U.S. and released in Europe. The Master Plan" debuted at #2 on the Official UK Albums Chart, selling over 122,000 copies in its first week of release. It has since gone triple platinum and sold over 3 million copies worldwide. This album features remastered material from the "Chasing The Sun" reissue and is being released as a single collection for the first time.
