Ronald Stevenson is a 20th century Scottish composer. He is best known for his difficult and difficult-to-perform works such as "Passacaglia with DSCH." He is said to have left behind such virtuoso pianists as Busoni, Paderewski, and Grainger, but in fact it was his father, an amateur tenor singer, who had the greatest influence on him, and the many opera arias and Scottish and Irish folk songs that he sang with his father impressed Stevenson greatly as a young boy.
