Pearls of French Vocal Music from the Age of EnlightenmentThis program is an introduction to French vocal works from the Age of Enlightenment by selected young vocalists who participate in the Academy "The Garden of Voices" presided over by Christie. The "Garden of Voices," an academy for vocalists started by Lesard Florissant in 2002, is held every two years, and six to seven young vocalists are selected from among 250 to 300 applicants each time. They live in the chateau where Christie actually lived in France, receive thorough training, and then experience the world stage with Les Arts Florissants. This performance is by their sixth class. (The seventh class came to Japan in October 2016 to rave reviews for their performance titled "In the Garden of Italy.") King International.
