Bach, Scarlatti, Debussy, Liszt, and Rameau, selected by Helene Schutz, an up-and-coming harpist who studied with Godreve Schrama at the Detmold Music University and is now active mainly in Germany. This is an excellent program of harp performances of works originally intended for keyboard. The soft tones of the harp in Debussy's "The Maiden with Flaxen Hair" and "Moonlight" are a perfect match for the harp. This is an album that will make you realize the new charm of each work.
