For their first recording, Lee Kyu-soo and the members chose Mozart's "Symphony No. 29" and "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" as the pieces to be recorded under the new name of "Orchestra Ensemble Seoul" from its predecessor "Seoul National University Chamber Orchestra". The fact that they dared to choose "Symphony No. 29" instead of the famous symphonies of the later period is a testament to their inquisitiveness and confidence. Michael Fine, former vice president of Deutsche Grammophon and artistic advisor to the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the French Radio Philharmonic, and the Seoul Symphony Orchestra, said to Lee Gyu-soo and the orchestra, "I am really enjoying listening to your Mozart now.It is stylish, agile, warm, and transparent, with counterpoint beautifully rendered in its most natural form. And the recording creates a warm, intimate sound. I heartily applaud! The recording was praised as "a true masterpiece of music.
