Nielsen's concerto, which explores new sounds beyond the Nordic masterpieces full of beautiful melodies Lisa Jacobs, who first encountered Nielsen's concerto in 2007 and was overwhelmed from the first notes, is releasing an album compiled with Nordic works. Listening to them side by side, the Scandinavian Romantic language is certainly present, and the beautiful music of Halvorsen and Svendsen shows a strong Griegian influence. However, Nielsen's concerto is in a sense a unique piece of music, with neo-baroque aspects and challenging writing styles, and it develops in unpredictable ways. The music is fascinating, and Lisa Jacobs, who has taken the flavor of the music and incorporated it into her own, gives a performance that is truly moving. Lisa Jacobs is a Dutch violinist who made her debut at the age of 17 with the Royal Concertgebouw under Chailly.
