Michal Dziadosz (vo/b/synth/fl etc.), formerly of ILUZJON, presents his solo project STRANGE POP's second album from 2011! The last album was a masterpiece of PINK FLOYD-influenced melodic rock with analog synths, weeping guitars, and a dark lyricism typical of Poland, The melodic rock numbers are an extension of the previous album, with deep acoustic synth sounds and an ethereal atmosphere typical of Polish music, while 'Friend' features a rough guitar sound and rough chorus work similar to 90s alternative/grunge rock, The sine waves of analog synths add a warm and nostalgic mood to "Nothing Really Happened," and the free sound-making that defies genre classification makes for an intriguing album.Also on this album, Michal Wojtas of AMAROK ('Last Time'g), Daniel Kurtyka of LIZARD ('Friend'g), Ryszard Kramarski of MILLENIUM ('Lost Years/Working Hour'key), Maciej Sochon of SEASONAL ('Nothing Really Happened'g/effect), Kovy Jaglinski of DISTANT MANTRA ('All Days'g), and other musicians who support the Polish progressive music scene. The album features a superb ensemble of musicians from the Polish progressive rock scene, including Kovy Jaglinski of DISTANT MANTRA ('All Days'g). As the title suggests, the album focuses on the sounds and forms of the 70s/80s, but Michal's modern sense shines through on this theme!
