North Carolina vocal and instrumental group Brief Encounter. The second album released in 1981, following the flawless first album, is reissued in its original jacket in paper jacket! The original LP is also extremely rare. This is a perfectly killer modern soul/boogie album! Brief Encounter is a nine-piece vocal and instrumental group led by the four Bailey brothers, who reside in North Carolina. Their second album "We Want To Play", released in 1981 on the Music Town label, is being reissued to coincide with the release of their singles collection! The album features two songs featuring female singer Julia Grant, the beautiful melodic medium "Just For Love" and the superb mellow groove "Sweet Tender Loving", as well as the title track "We Want To Play For You" and "Open Up Your Heart". The title track "We Want To Play For You" and "Open Up Your Heart" are the best boogie tunes and the sweet ballad "Sweet Tender Loving" are as good as the first one.The 2005 reissue of the CD now sells for over 5,000 yen, making this a long-awaited re-CD release.
