Spanish composer Albéniz left behind piano pieces such as "Iberia" and "Spanish Suite," known for their sensuous harmonies, rich melodic lines, and characteristic rhythms. In this album, you can hear Albéniz's rarely performed works for double and double pianos. The works include not only Albeniz's own arrangements, but also arrangements by Granados and Castella (world premiere recording) and by Alicia de Larrocha, one of the most famous pianists of the 20th century (also a world premiere recording), which shows the high popularity of Albeniz's works. The Albenis' works are very popular. The two-piano version of "Navarra," which is unfinished but known for its superb technique, is also well worth listening to. The originally sound-heavy general score is given an even more gorgeous flavor. Duo Van Dua, formed in 2010 by two pianists from Spain, is a piano duo whose repertoire includes works for double and two pianos from various periods. Naxos Japan
