Mohamed Ramouri sings sentimental rai. He lives in Paris but was born in Algeria and has been performing in the Paris metro since the early 2000s. Mohammed has a long story to tell. An illegal immigrant, visually impaired, he lived a hard life but with unwavering optimism. He composed many songs and tested them on a constantly renewed urban audience. His first album, Underground Rai Love, was released in the spring of 2019. He completely nailed the confluence of 80's Rai and Western pop with Cheb hasni covers and his own compositions.His new album Mehari, produced by Baron Retif, is a road trip from Belleville to the south and features Boutaiba Sghir, Rachid & Fethi, the gems of Cheb hasni, and Oran's dreams as he listens to the love songs of Mohamed Lamouri's Ray in the driver's seat. This work is an Algerian racing camel, a prince of the desert. It is also a late 70's French beach car, the perfect driving lesson car for this wonderful Rye road trip.
