The final collaboration between Scorsese and Robbie Robertson: "Killers of the Flower Moon," a film directed by Martin Scorsese that opened in theaters nationwide on October 20. Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) moves to Oklahoma with his uncle William Hale (Robert De Niro), a powerful local figure. Ernest falls in love with Molly Kyle (Lily Gladstone), a native Osage woman, and they become husband and wife, but a series of mysterious murders begin to occur around them. As the town is engulfed in chaos and violence, an investigator dispatched from Washington D.C. begins to investigate, but behind the murders lies a startling truth. This is the eleventh film in which Robbie Robertson, who wrote the music, and director Scorsese have teamed up. Robbie Robertson passed away on August 9 this year at the age of 80, and this was his last film.The album contains a total of 15 songs written by Robbie Robertson, and the 15th song, "Still Standing," features Robbie's own soul-stirring vocals. Robbie Robertson (7/5/1943-8/9/2023) is a music legend, best known as the guitarist for The Band. Born in Toronto, Canada, he began his musical career in his teens. He became a backing member of Bob Dylan and made his debut as "The Band" in 1968 with "Music from Big Pink. The band's breakup live performance in San Francisco on November 25, 1976 was made into a movie "The Last Waltz" (1978) directed by Scorsese, who was one year older than the band, After the band broke up, he began composing and supervising music for films such as "Carny," "Raging Bull," "Casino," "Hustler 2," "The Wolf of Wall Street," and "The Irishman," demonstrating his talent in the world of film music as well. In 1987, he began producing solo albums, and has also released works on Native American themes.
