Between 1997 and 2009, he won 23 prizes at international harp competitions in Belgium, France, Austria, Hungary, Spain, the United States, and Germany. He has also won the first prize and audience prize at the Munich International Music Competition and the Lilly Ruskinne International Harp Competition, among others. She has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras and has appeared at numerous music festivals, including the PMF in 2018. He often performs with Emmanuel Pajou, with whom he has released a joint CD on Warner Classics. The repertoire on this album is chosen to reflect her life as principal harpist of the Vienna Philharmonic and her life.Transcriptions by Zabel, who is well known for his arrangements of famous pieces for solo harp, harp instructional books, and numerous harp works. The work as an impressive reminder of her orchestral collaborations with Riccardo Muti and Andris Nelsons. Her own harp composition, a fantasy on a brilliant "Bohème" theme, is in the harp's own right. On the last two tracks, her brother and composer Wouter Lenaerts arranged a typically Viennese work for harp and string ensemble, with members including Rainer Honeck, concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic. The world of opera and orchestra is perfectly integrated into everyday life in Vienna." With this album, I hope to take the listener on a wonderful orchestral journey with the harp." Lenaerts said.
