The second volume of the Polish Album, which is linked to her own roots, features rare repertoire by two female composers, Bacevich and Poldowski! Now comes the sequel to her 2019 release, "Polish Violin Works" (CHAN20082), which was named "Chamber Choice" by BBC Music Magazine! Jennifer Pike's Polish album is not only a musical exploration, but also a special tribute to her own roots (her mother is Polish). The second volume begins with the violin sonatas, lullabies, and three Paganini caprices by Szymanowski, but the focus is on the rare repertoire of two female composers, Poldowski and Baczewicz, who are both Polish.Born in Belgium, the daughter of Henryk Wieniawski (Wieniawski), a leading Polish violinist, Poldowski (whose real name was Irene Regine Wieniawski) immigrated to England of Polish and Belgian descent, and her violin sonatas and tangos were a great discovery for Paik Pike's discovery of the violin sonatas and tangos of Poldowski (whose real name was Irene Regine Wieniawska) was a major breakthrough for him and led to the realization of this second volume of Polish Violin Works. The music is recorded with great sincerity in the hope that her music, which she says is particularly diverse in its use of harmony, will be performed more widely. Tokyo M-Plus
