Leonard Elschenbroich was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1985, studied at the Menuhin School and the Cologne Academy of Music, and has been selected as a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist and Artist in Residence by the German Public Radio and the Bremen Philharmonic Society. She has been selected as an elite cellist in residence by the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, the German Public Radio Broadcasting Service and the Philharmonic Society of Bremen. She has received international acclaim for her Russian albums on the UK's ONYX label, including Rachmaninoff & Shostakovich (ONYX 4116), Kabalevsky & Prokofiev (ONYX 4122), and Schnittke (ONYX 4180), and her last album, Siegl (ONYX 4173), an album with a French theme. His fifth new recording is a profound program of five cello sonatas and a cello version of Beethoven's Horn Sonata! Beethoven, who has performed with Alexei Glinnyuk all over the world, including tours in Japan, is finally released as a sound recording.Also, Elschenbroich's Beethoven is a destined repertoire that he made his name known to the world through his collaboration with Christoph Eschenbach.
