Madoka Nakamaru

Description:

Includes Japanese commentary! Madoka Nakamaru plays a collection of Dukoninck's compositions and arrangements, also called "Neo-Baroque Romanticism. Dukoninck's style, also known as "Neo-Baroque Romanticism," is based on "composing in a natural and classical language," and is characterized by a style that is full of romanticism within a Baroque context. Madoka Nakamaru began her journey to explore the world of the solo violin when Dukoninck dedicated to her "Partita for Solo Violin 'I Hear a Voice Calling Me to Awake,'" which is included at the beginning of this album, and through Dukoninck's work she was led to a new perspective on Bach's Chaconne. The Dukoninck works led him to a new perspective on Bach's Chaconne, which can also be heard on this album. The sound of the baroque violin (Hendrik Jacobs, Amsterdam, made around 1690), with its unique depth on the low strings and brilliance on the high strings, invites the listener into the solitary world of the unaccompanied violin.Madoka Nakamaru, who was born in 1981, graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music with a major in violin instrumental music, and in 2006, completed the baroque violin program at the same university's graduate school of ancient music. She received a scholarship from the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Belgian government and moved to Belgium to study with Sigiswald Kuijken at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where she received her diploma in 2009 and completed her master's degree in Baroque Violin. Currently based in Belgium, Nakamaru has been invited by numerous orchestras for concerts, CDs, TV and radio recordings as concert mistress, and his public performance at the Belgian Royal Court in 2015 was broadcast worldwide, as well as chamber and solo performances in a wide range of repertoire. In the liner notes, Nakamaru thanks everyone involved in the production of this CD and writes, "I hope this CD will be an inspiration to you and that these works will become a beloved repertoire for many violinists...".
