Swedish vocalist Ellen Andeersson (1991-) released her debut album, I'll Be Seeing You (PCD 165), in 2016. Described by Denmark's oldest music magazine GAFFA as "the most remarkable and promising debut since Diana Kroll's 1993 debut album," in 2017 it was awarded Sweden's most prestigious honor, presided over by the jazz magazine OrkesterJunalen This is the second album on the Prophone label. The title of the album is taken from "You Should Have Told Me" recorded by Doris Day in 1946, and like the previous album, she sings nine standard numbers. Michel Legrand's "Once Upon a Summertime," sung by Blossom Dearie, Tony Bennett, Monica Setterlund, and Barbra Streisand.Randy Newman wrote and composed "You've Got a Friend in Me" as the theme song for "Toy Story. Duke Ellington and Lee Gaines' "Just Squeeze Me" (You can hold me tight, but only if you mean it). Sidney Lippman and Sylvia Dee's "Too Young," a million-seller sung by Nat King Cole and an international hit on Danny Osmond's record. TheThrill Is Gone," a song about the end of a fresh love affair, is a number from a 1931 Broadway musical. Diana Kroll (Krall) sang "'Deed I Do" in "Paris Live. The Beatles' "Blackbird," which is said to have compared black women to "black birds.
