Music Director Gianandrea Noseda conducted this remarkable production, which was directed by the brilliant American film director William Friedkin, known for "The Exorcist" and "The French Connection." The production features a magnificent stage that recreates ancient Egypt, which can be described as the "Aida", and carefully depicts the tragic love between Aida and Amneris. Christine Lewis, as Aida, is an American soprano. She has shown remarkable growth in recent years and is currently based in Europe, where she has appeared in many theaters, especially in highly acclaimed Verdi productions. Amneris is sung by Anita Rachvelishvili, a mezzo-soprano from Georgia (Georgia). She has made a splash at La Scala in Milan and the Metropolitan Opera. Her deep and rich voice, which has been praised in the role of Carmen, is again on display in this performance, and her fierce struggle with Aida in the second act is one of the highlights of the performance.Marco Berti as Radames is a stable singer, a role he has sung many times. He is a traditional Italian tenor who delivers the role with a clear and lively voice. Noseda's style of bold conducting, which takes in the music, skillfully captures the inner emotions, and dynamically creates drama from them, beautifully portrays the duality of the grand, heroic, glorious scenes of "Aida" and the tragic love between a man and a woman torn between the two countries of ancient Egypt and Ethiopia.
