The 2016 remastered edition of Metallica's debut album, which shocked the world in 1983, includes "Seek and Destroy," which is still performed live today, "Hit the Lights," "Motor Breath," and more. The rough but young Metallica has taken in its roots and quickly created a formula that can be called the cornerstone of "thrash metal". The album was selected as one of the "100 Best Albums of the 80's" by Rolling Stone magazine, one of the "100 Best Debut Albums of All Time" and one of the "100 Best Metal Albums of All Time" by the British metal magazine "KERRANG! The current Megadeth leader Dave Mustaine used to be a member of the band, and his name is credited as the composer for four of the ten songs on the album. Bassist Cliff Burton's bass solo on "(Anaesir)-Pring Teeth" made a big impact.
