STRAIGHT AHEAD HARDCORE PUNK band NO EXCUSE's second album, led by MEANING frontman HAYATO, is finally complete! After releasing their debut album "Uprising" in 2014, they achieved an unprecedented smash hit in this industry, selling 1,500 copies. By the end of 2015, they released a split with "FIREBIRDGASS" and embarked on a nationwide tour. They further honed their already well-regarded songwriting precision and the band's high expressive power. Some might think NO EXCUSE is just a side project of MEANING, but that's no joke. Despite each member juggling other bands, personal lives, jobs, and various circumstances, they kept moving forward, even when held back. Listening to this work makes that clear. They've assembled a collection of tracks sharper than ever before, leaving their mark as a hardcore band in this era. While their previous album featured mainly Japanese lyrics, perhaps out of respect for JAPANESE HARDCORE, this new work is composed primarily with English lyrics.As a result, HAYATO's vocals feel like they match NO EXCUSE's songs even better. The biggest improvement is probably MATSUOKA on drums. His signature drumming shines through throughout, and his combination with YU-KI on bass makes the band's foundation rock-solid. Kato's guitar, who composed most of the songs this time, shines brilliantly, elevating the sound to more than compensate for the deliberately sparse chorus work. The main artwork is an original piece by world-renowned hardcore illustrator SUGI. Combined with VK DESIGN's finishing touches, this unbeatable lineup brought this work to completion.
