Description:
The group was formed by the three Thompson brothers and their friend "Sandy Anderson," who had been singing gospel music since childhood. Their only album "I'LL GET OVER IT" was released in 1975, and the original copy is now sold at a very high price due to its excellent content in addition to its limited distribution at the time. Now, for the first time in the world, the album is being released on CD on the American reissue label, "Brewerytown Beats". The album opens with TR-1 "Message," which features funky keys and wah guitar, followed by TR-3 "I'll Always Love You," which beautifully showcases the sweet sound that is characteristic of their hometown of Philadelphia. In particular, the mellotron sound used effectively throughout the album gives the song a more urban feel. And the title track TR-5 "I'll Get Over It" showcases a perfect chord progression and beautiful chorus work, and is one of the highlights of the album. TR-8 "Gotta Get Down" is a funk number with a groovy bass line that shows they are not just a sweet tea It shows that they are not just a soul group.The bass player is "Basil Fearrington," who later worked with such distinguished musicians as "ROBERTA FLACK" and "STEPHANIE MILLS," although he is not credited. The song "We Love To Sing" expresses their love of music and closes with a euphoric number. The more one listens to this album, the more one understands why it is called a classic. If you are a soul fan who has been looking for the originals for a long time, this is a must-have for you!
