The first release on Makoto Ozone’s new label, “Mo-Zone.” TRiNFiNiTY’s second album, which celebrates the beauty of diversity in a world still rife with division, is now available on vinyl. Pianist Makoto Ozone, who continues to perform on the world stage, has launched a new jazz label, “Mo-Zone,” with distribution support from Universal Music. The landmark first release is the second album by the trio “TRiNFiNiTY,” formed in 2023 to mark the 40th anniversary of Ozone’s debut. The trio—featuring bassist Shinpei Ogawa and drummer Ikuni Kita, both members of “FromOZONEtillDawn,” a project for up-and-coming musicians led by Ozone and actress Misuzu Kamino—released their first album, *TRiNFiNiTY*, in January 2024. Since then, they have been actively performing both domestically and internationally. Following their European tour in the spring of 2025, they recorded at Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg, Germany. For Ozone, this studio holds special memories, as he visited it in the 1980s to record Gary Burton’s ECM albums (*RealLifeHits* and *WhizKids*). Moved by recent global events that have shaken the peace of our world, Ozone has created a highly meaningful album that includes songs expressing his strong personal wish for peace through music. Ana Maria Jopek, a leading Polish singer with whom he has a close friendship, appears as a guest artist (her first appearance on a Kosone album in 15 years) and delivers a breathtaking vocal performance. The album cover photograph was taken by actor and film director Takumi Saito and video director Dan Ogawa.
