A sequel to the Space Century series directly following the novel of the same title written by Yoshiyuki Tomino and published in 1989, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" depicts the decisive battle between Amuro and Char, and is an animation film in three parts, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Senko no Hathaway" which was said to be impossible to visualize. The director is Shuko Murase, who worked on "New Mobile Suit Gundam W" as character designer, "Mobile Suit Gundam F91" as animation director, and recently directed "Slaughterhouse Organ", which was highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad. The screenplay is written by Yasuyuki Mutou of "Mobile Suit Gundam UC", producing high quality images on a grand scale befitting a new era of Gundam theater productions! --Twelve years have passed since the Second Neo Zeon War (Char's Rebellion). U.C. 0105. The corruption of the Earth Federation government has accelerated the pollution of the Earth, and it has also implemented an inhumane policy of "manhunting," in which civilians are forcibly taken into space.The "Mufti," an anti-Earth federal government movement, began its resistance with the harsh act of assassinating a high-ranking federal government official. The leader of the movement is named "Mufti Nabiyu Erin. His true identity was "Hathaway," the son of Colonel Bright Noah of the Federation Army, who also fought in the One Year War. Hathaway tries to carve out his own path as a warrior who carries the ideals, ideals, and will of Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, but his fate is greatly changed when he meets Federation Colonel Kenneth Slegg and a mysterious beautiful girl, Gigi Andalusia.
