The historical masterpiece "Pathetique" left by Furtwängler in his 50s is revived with the latest technology. The reissue of the British SP version has a powerful sound. This dramatic performance was popular with Mengelberg. In 1938, Germany annexed Austria, ceded the Czechoslovakian region of Zdene, and suffered the "Kristallnacht" incident. Furtwängler felt the anguish of this period, and he expressed his lamentations with all his heart. The coupling of the prelude and the death of love from Wagner's "Tristan," also on the theme of death, is a perfect example of the swell and tragedy of Furtwängler's music. This swell and tragedy are the quintessence of Furtwängler. This is a French recording. As is the label's policy, no noise filters are used and noise is eliminated one by one.
