Now, a strictly limited-edition vinyl record, curated personally by Hirotsuru herself, is finally here! Presented in a special edition featuring a handwritten serial number by Sumire Hirotsuru herself, this is a must-have collector’s edition for fans! Violinist Sumire Hirotsuru, who honed her skills at Harvard University and The Juilliard School, is active in a wide range of fields, including performance, media appearances, writing, and education. Her solo album *11STORIES*, released in September 2025, was composed primarily of repertoire she has cherished and performed since childhood, garnering significant attention as a work that reflects her musical roots. Now, one year after the release of *11STORIES*, her musical world is being presented in a new form: a strictly limited-edition vinyl LP featuring a playlist curated by Sumire Hirotsuru herself. Presented in a special edition with handwritten serial numbers, this record allows you to enjoy a collection of musical gems alongside the rich resonance and warmth unique to vinyl. While the CD program consisted of 11 works centered on Kreisler’s compositions, this vinyl release features pieces carefully selected by Sumire Hirotsuru herself from among those 11. Side A features “Prelude and Allegro” and “Beautiful Rosemary,” as well as “The Song My Mother Taught Me” and “Prayer” (arranged by Kreisler), painting a world filled with the elegance and emotion unique to Kreisler. Side B features Sarasate’s masterpiece “Zigeunerweisen,” which Hirotsuru said she “absolutely wanted to include,” Ysaÿe’s “Violin Sonata No. 3 ‘Ballade’”—a piece with deep ties to Kreisler—and “The Londonderry Air,” which continues to be loved across generations. The program offers a glimpse into both her roots as a violinist and her current artistic direction. Sumire Hirotsuru vividly brings to life the stories embedded in each piece through her deep understanding and rich expressiveness. She is joined by pianist Hiroko Kono, with whom she has shared the stage on countless occasions over the years; their meticulous and warm ensemble playing lends even greater depth to the works.
