(Original release: 1977 / Westbound)This is the second album by one of Detroit's best session guitarists, who is also known for the instrumental funk classic "Scorpio". With a horn section that also participated in Marvin Gaye's "Ai no Yukue" (1971) in the background, this album shows a new side of the band by adding a laid-back groove to the traditional heavy funk rock, while also showing off an ever-melodic guitar solo. The female backing chorus is provided by Brandy, a three-piece group that also recorded a solo album in 1978.
