In the 90's, when the so-called alternative and mixed-music scenes were sparking, Asian Dub Foundation (ADF) stood out from the crowd and quickly became one of the most popular and important bands of the era. ADF has been appealing for freedom and equality with a biting satire of society, using bhangra, jungle, dub, and other stimulating rhythms while staying rooted in their roots music and community. The band has gained great popularity.The ADF story began in the early 90s with a music workshop at Community Music, their spiritual home in East London. This unique background shaped both their sound and their educational aspirations, leading to the launch of their own organization, ADF Education (ADFED), and to actions such as instigating campaigns on behalf of those suffering from unfair trials. performances, establishing a solid reputation as a live band. Sharing the stage with the likes of Rage Against the Machine, Beastie Boys, Radiohead, and Primal Scream, the band made a name for itself worldwide. On recordings, he has collaborated with Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, Sinead O'Connor, Iggy Pop, Adrian Sherwood, and Public Enemy's Chuck D.Over the past 30 years, ADF has played 1,000 gigs, released 9 studio albums, and built upon the social and educational activities that gave birth to and continue to sustain this group today. To celebrate the longevity of this unique project, ADF is currently embarking on an extensive tour of over 60 shows in 2024-25. The newly announced release of "94-Now: Collaborations" includes "No Fun" with Iggy Pop, "1000 Mirrors" with Sinead O'Connor and Radiohead's Ed O'Brien, "Free" with Primal Scream Brendan Lynch mix version of "Satpal Ram", "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos" with Chuck D of Public Enemy, "Collective Mode" with Audio Active from Japan, and "Free" with Rickle Mai and All of the tracks have been remastered and reworked for the 30th anniversary edition.The domestic CD will include an explanation of each song by the artist and a commentary.
