Marduk, the king of black metal from Sweden, has been active since 1990 with their 15th album "Memento Mori". Marduk is the originator of brutal black metal with a strong emphasis on brutality, and they have a large number of enthusiastic fans all over the world. With their gale-force blast beats, gutsy screaming growls, and age-old corpse paints, they are the model of black metal in every way, and are Sweden's leading veteran of the genre. This is their 15th album, their first in five years. The title "Memento Mori" is a Latin phrase meaning "Remember that you will surely die someday" or "Think of death," and it is assumed that the content was inspired by the recent infectious diseases and wars that have plunged society into crisis on a global scale. The album is a dignified and intense work, bursting with Marduk's ruthless tremolo riffs, blasting beats, and satanic vocals that expose the physicality of the band's character.
