OCEANS OF SLUMBER, based in Houston, Texas, is a band that has garnered attention for its unique sound, which has been described as "progressive new southern gothic". OCEANS OF SLUMBER burst onto the scene with their debut album "Aetherial" (2013), followed by the dramatic evolution of the band in 2014 with the addition of Cammie, a female vocalist with a soulful voice. The Banished Heart" (2018) received critical acclaim, followed by the fully-fledged self-titled "Oceans Of Slumber" in 2020." The band members are confident that "OCEANS OF SLUMBER has entered a new chapter" with the release of the self-titled "Oceans Of Slumber," which also features the production work of Dan Swano. The band's fifth album, "OCEANS OF SLUMBER" is a melodic, heavy, and one-of-a-kind album with Cammie's phenomenal vocals adding even more presence to the band's already melodic, heavy, and one-of-a-kind worldview. Cammie's phenomenal vocals have further increased her presence and control over the music. About "Hearts Of Stone," the music video for which was released in May prior to its release, Cammie says, "This song had a longer title, 'Hearts Of Stone, Gardens Of Grief. We shortened it for various reasons, but I always remember the long title. This song represents an origin story. It's about someone who got stuck in a bad decision in the past and never got a good start in life. That no matter how far we try to escape, it all catches up with us."By further deepening the previous work, here is a work that boasts an overwhelming worldview and a solid sound. This album was produced by Joel Hamilton (VIOLET ROAD, BATTLE OF MICE). The album was mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Yes, Voivod), and the album artwork was created by Eliran Kantor (Helloween, Heaven Shall Burn, Thy Art Is Murder).
