Collins blows R. Strauss out of the water! The violin concerto is by Tasmin Little! Michael Collins is one of the finest clarinetists of our time, having served as principal of the London Sinfonietta and the Philharmonia Orchestra, and as a member of the Nash Ensemble. He is currently expanding his conducting career, conducting the City of London Sinfonia, where he was principal conductor from 2010-2018, as well as the Philharmonia Orchestra, ASMF, Ulster Orchestra, and the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra. Collins' latest release is a collection of Richard Strauss' concerto works. He plays the clarinet expertly in Strauss' first concerto, "Romance," and Strauss' last instrumental work, "Double Concertino," and also conducts the other works to great effect. Another important point is that Tasmin Little, the famous British violinist, is the soloist in the Violin Concerto. Tokyo M-Plus
