Deutsche Grammophon Celebrates 125th Anniversary with LP Release2023 Deutsche Grammophon will celebrate its 125th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, Deutsche Grammophon will be releasing LPs over the course of a year. First, three titles recently released on CD will be made available on LP for International Women's Day (March 8). Concerto by Fazil Say and others, a message for world peace by a young female cellistBorn in Belgium in 1988, Camille Thomas is the second DG album by a female cellist born in Belgium, raised in France, studied in Berlin, and lives in Paris. The album "Voice of Hope" is an album that she selected and created herself with the desire to spread peace and hope in the world. This is the world premiere recording of the new cello concerto "Never Give Up" by Fazil Say, a popular pianist of exceptional talent from Turkey who has also demonstrated his talent as a composer. The piece is a "call for freedom and peace" and was written in response to the terrorist attacks on Europe and Turkey. The entire album is also based on the theme of peace and hope, with a selection of familiar masterpieces. The instrument Camille is playing is a Stradivarius 1730 Feuermann cello loaned by the Nippon Music Foundation. Universal Music/IMS
