Description:
He plays his country's greatest masterpieces and small gems! A [DVD] & [Hardcover Book-spec limited edition] of the same title will be released at the same time! Following her previous work "Memory," a collection of pieces she played as a child, Lan Lan's new release is a collection of pieces from her native China, which is the focus of the world's attention in the run-up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The first track, "Yellow River," is one of China's most famous classical pieces and has been recorded many times. The first piece, "Yellow River," is one of China's most famous classical pieces and has been recorded many times. The colorful sound of this piece, a fusion of Chinese folk songs and traditional Western classical music, requires a high level of technique from the soloist, but virtuoso pianist Lan Lan is a master at this. The virtuoso pianist Lan Lan is no stranger to this difficult piece, which was born in his native country. The accompaniment by the China Philharmonic Orchestra was also excellent, and the high level of classical music in China was astonishing. The coupling includes seven piano pieces and three chamber pieces. All of the pieces are by Chinese composers (some are arrangements of folk songs), and all of them are beautiful works that seem to spread before our eyes the original landscape of China, where Lang Lang spent his boyhood. The three folk instruments are played by Lan Lan and his friends who know each other well. The three folk instruments are played by Lan Lan and his friends who know each other well, and of course they play in perfect harmony. The DVD includes footage from their recent tour of China and the recording of Dragon Song. [Comment courtesy of (Universal IMS)
