The recording took place at Nordstrom Recital Hall in Seattle. The G major quintet, featuring a double bass, is full of warmth and lightness, with lyrical and dance-like elements blending naturally. In contrast, the E-flat major quintet—composed during his stay in the United States—possesses a more powerful and distinctive sound, a work that vividly captures the inspiration he gained in a foreign land. Furthermore, the intermezzo—later arranged as *Notturno*—provides a quiet contrast.
