Amsterdam Sinfonietta's new recording! Founded in 1988, the Amsterdam Sinfonietta is the only professional string orchestra in the Netherlands and has been active internationally under the leadership of Candida Thompson, concertmaster since 1995 and artistic director since 2003. The Amsterdam Sinfonietta has gained popularity for its performances and recordings of "string ensemble versions" of various chamber music works by Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Shostakovich, and others.
