This is the second Steelpan Records release by Kotoe, a singer-songwriter based in New York, Kochi, and Tokyo, who also works as a music therapist. Following the success of her previous album "If You Come Back Here," this album was recorded by a group of Japan's leading musicians. The title track, "Call My Name," is a story about the first gift in life, a name. Her worldview, which extends from Japanese to English and Portuguese, gives listeners a deep sense of empathy and healing.
