Lee Ritner, who was famous as a fusion guitarist in the middle of the fusion boom, is reissued in the latest remastered and UHQCD format on Victor. Available only at Tower Records. The recording was made as a direct cutting disc, which was the most advanced recording method at the time, and it is a record of a one-shot session in which no mistakes were allowed. This is the third album of Gentle Souls led by Lee Rittner, released in 1978. The band consists of Dave and Don Grusin on keyboards, Ernie Watts on saxophone, Abraham Laboriel on bass, Steve Foreman on percussion, and staff member Steve Gadd on drums. All songs are original compositions, beginning with the rhythmic "Sea Dance," followed by the beautiful "Crystal Morning" with its nylon-string guitar and other imaginative numbers.
