World premiere of both Schulicht's sound recordings! Fate" live in Montreux & Schumann's "No.4", both world premieres! Two world premieres! Schumann No. 4 is Schuricht's first release! Epitagraph obtained these recordings from the archives of the broadcasting stations (ORTF and NDR) through an acquaintance. The sound quality of both recordings is excellent, and they are released on UHQCD, the "definitive high sound quality CD"! The "Fate" is a live performance of the famous Beethoven symphonies with the Orchestre de la Conservatoire de Paris (EMI session recording), which Schuricht, at the peak of his career, was burning up and carved the sound. The brass is clear and bright, and the timpani is a hearty and powerful blow! The strings are a tense and tight ensemble! This performance is the most impressive in comparison with the recordings with the Paris Conservatory Orchestra and other orchestras, as it continues to impress with its dignified spirit, concentration, and tension until its conclusion! Schumann has left behind his masterpieces "No. 2" and "No. 3" for Decca/London, and this is the first time Schuricht's "No. 4" has seen the light of day! The performance is so magnificent that it is a wonder it has not been released before. The approach is different from Furtwängler's famous performance, showing a deep insight into the piece.
