This Christmas album brings together the Bolshoi Theatre Children's Chorus and some of Russia's finest contemporary soloists. Its alumni have been a dominant presence not only in opera houses and the classical world, but also in other genres. The choir's conductor and artistic director, Yulia Molchanova, studied under Boris Kulikov at the Moscow Conservatory and has been directing the choir since 2004 after graduation.
