Description:
Sharon Kamm, one of the world's leading clarinetists, was born in Israel in 1971 and first wanted to play the recorder, but switched to the clarinet at the age of 12. This piece became an important part of her repertoire. She eventually won the Munich Competition in 1992, and over the past 20 years she has performed with popular orchestras in the United States, Europe, and Japan. In this latest album, recorded in 2019, she performs with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra the Weber concertos, which are her strongest suit, as well as concertos by Polish composer Krupinski and the Swedish-Finnish composer Krusell, who is familiar to clarinet players. This is an attractive piece with superb technique and a warm, mellow tone throughout. Naxos Japan
