Description:
The Solazzo Ensemble is an ancient music group that has been active in Switzerland, France, England, and other parts of Europe. The Solazzo Ensemble is an ancient music group that has been active in Switzerland, France, the U.K., and other European countries. The group's existing recordings on Linn Records and Ambronay have received rave reviews from magazines that do not specialize in classical music, including the Gramophone Annual Grand Prize and the Diapason Gold Prize from France. This is probably due in no small part to the group's pursuit of a thorough concept in the production of their albums. The newly recorded album is also a work that shows great promise, given its deeply thought-out composition and beautiful cover. Florence in 1350" means that this album is set in Florence in the period before the rise of the Medici family, when the city was one of the most important republics in central Italy. The glamorous Renaissance architecture and great works of art were not there yet.The 14th century was a time of pestilence and warfare, of conflict between the imperialists and the popes, and survival was not possible without reason. But music also kept the people of the city connected. The members of the SOLAZZO, playing the vielle (medieval fiddle) and old stringed instruments with great skill, and singing with a vivid sense of sound, draw the audience into the development of the program with a strong emotional appeal that does not force the listener to become acquainted with ancient music. The precise engineering by master recording engineer Christoph Fronmen brings back to life the sound of ancient music with a natural lift that is sure to attract the listener. Naxos Japan
