Description:

The pop maestro known as "Robert Wyatt who sings free soul" has produced his first album of completely original songs in his hometown of Toronto in seven years since his Canadian masterpiece "Rosy Maze". Chris A. Cummings AKA Marker Sterling has been spinning mellow and smooth masterpieces with an astonishingly high average, using his tender voice that has been called the second coming of Robert Wyatt. Marker Sterling, who has garnered tremendous support from musicians such as Stereolab, Ben Watt, Cashin, Nicholas Kergovich, I Am Robot And Proud, and LAKE, will release his first album in two and a half years, "High Janiery", a masterpiece produced by Sean O'Hagan (High Ramaz) in 2020. With only one guest, Peter Zummo (trombone), a well-known collaborator of the late Arthur Russell, and an all-star live band in Toronto, the album is more robust and groovy than ever before. The title track, with its 70's American cinema-inspired music video, is a great example of the "instant classic" style, and the new album is a great collection of new classics, including the title track. The title track is a great example of the "instant classic" style, and the album is a new masterpiece. The Japanese CD version includes 5 additional songs, including a cover of Sloan's song.
