Norwegian jazz-rock/crossover band from Norway, featuring Freddy Dahl (vo/g), Kjell Ronningen (key) and Bjorn Jenssen (dr/per), ex-JUNIPHER GREEN, who later joined and played in RUPHUS. The '77 album from Compendium Records was reissued on CD in '23 by Norske Albumklassikere in Norway! The band's funky rhythms and the guitar, keyboards, and saxophone frontmen's witty and stylish solos and unisons intertwine with each other, creating an intelligent and stylish funk/crossover sound typical of Scandinavian music.The band's smart and mellow groove and technical ensemble are "black" among the Scandinavian crossover/fusion bands of the same period, such as RUPHUS and THE GROUP, while also displaying an imaginative and dreamy sound that is reminiscent of the cover art, which is evident in the middle part of the album. The album is a hidden gem that appeals not only to Scandinavian fans, but also to jazz rock/crossover/rare groove fans. The band released a CD reissue in '17, which is now hard to find, so this is a release not to be missed! The master is the same re-mastered source as the aforementioned '17 CD reissue.Uru The first single of 2024 Uru has made a splash in April 2023 with "Shindoku", the theme song for Fuji Television's Tsuki 9 drama "Kazama Kochin - Kyobo 0-" and "Kamiichigoe", the ending theme song for the TV anime "Jigokuraku". The first single of 2024 will be a song that will update the image of Uru's previous works.
