This is the fourth album (released in 1986) by Latimore—one of Miami soul’s leading singers, who had scored hits in the ’70s on the T.K. label’s Glaze imprint—since he moved to Maraco. Produced by Wolf Stevenson, the album features upbeat, pop-oriented tracks—such as “Body Shop” and “She’s All That,” both written by Philip Mitchell—that evoke a Southern soul vibe. The ballad “Sunshine Lady,” written by Homer Banks and others and featuring sound effects of waves, became one of her few hits during her Malaco era (No. 76 on the R&B chart).
