With her previous album, "Alvorada" (AP.104), Gaillard transported us to a world rich in Spanish colors. This album takes us on a journey in the footsteps of American exiled composers Bloch, Colgort, Prokofiev, and others. Prayers ("From Jewish Life"), Hebrew stories (Shelomo), and lullabies, wedding dances, religious meditations... This is a piece that seems to represent the composers' thoughts on their homeland from American soil through music that reflects various aspects of Jewish immigrant culture and daily life. Gaillard's familiar expression and deep, resonant tone are heartwarming.This is a remarkable disc that will also be released in analog form so that you can enjoy her tone! King International
